U11 Girls

Our very young U11 girls side took the huge leap and competed on a National stage.

Our youngster team members Claudie Lawrence (9 years old) and Georgia Harvey (9 years old) gave fine performances in both matches. With cracking rallies and fantastic target hitting. Both showed great potential for next years ICC. Our captain Bonnie Elvin, put in great show stopping performances. With a convincing win against Zarminae from Middlesex whilst also clocking in her best result again Neave Bruce from Surrey.

The future looks bright for girls Squash in Suffolk.

U13 Girls A

Our U13 Girls arrived in Brighton with their hearts and heads set to secure a place in the National finals. Our first match showed stunning performances from all three girls with Emma Logan, Sophie Singer and Nancy Akyol all comfortably winning 2-0. A very strong, solid and mature performance from all of the team. Crunch time against our county rivals Hampshire! Emma just losing out in a very close well fought battle at number 1 and Nancy raising team spirits once with a silky smooth 2-0 victory. It was going down to the wire! Sophie Singer took the court against the very talented number 2 from Hampshire just loosing out in in a 13-15 battle in the 3rd game. Sophie gave a huge performance and we could have only wished for a best of 5 set up which would have turned the tables  in Suffolk’s favour. We are now waiting for count back to see if the girls will advance to the National or Trophy finals. Suffolk has everything crossed but either way we could not be prouder of the girls performance.
