Suffolk Squash AGM 2026 — Recap

Suffolk Squash held its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 8th July at 19:30, hosted at Ipswich Sports Club. Committee members, club representatives, and county squash members came together to review the season and set direction for the year ahead.

Agenda Summary

1. Welcome The meeting opened with a welcome to all attendees and an overview of the evening’s agenda.

2. Chair’s ReportStu Lipscombe An overview of the season from the Chair, covering the county’s overall progress and priorities.

3. Junior ReportOliver Scrivener An update on junior squash across the county, including participation and development activity over the past season.

5. Club Contacts / Captains Discussion around keeping club contact and captain details up to date for the coming season.

7. Squash Development League (Non-Team Player) Proposed by Martin Levens — a new format aimed at players not currently competing in team squash.

8. Racketball League Proposed by Mike Hegarty — exploring a dedicated league structure for racketball.

9. Tournament Squash

  • Senior Inter-Counties — 20th February 2027
  • Senior Suffolk Closed — 23rd–25th October
  • Junior Suffolk County Closed — 27th September
  • Squash Graded Tournament Series (Moreton Hall, Risbygate, Diss)
  • Additional tournaments to be confirmed
